YOUTH QUAKE'S leadership team is made up of full time youth pastors, Rev. Natasha DeVito and Pastor Jenna King, and more than a dozen volunteer leaders. Please read down this page to learn about the leadership of YOUTH QUAKE.
Alfred has been volunteering with Youth Quake for a while now. He can often be found around the pool table having great conversations with youth. He loves teenagers and will go the extra mile for anyone. Alfred’s home is always open for youth; they know they are always welcomed! During the Summers Alfred cannot be around as much but trust us the youth ask for him often. This tells us he is really loved!
Art lives in Notre Dame and travels to Bouctouche each Thursday to volunteer at Youth Quake. You can often see him arriving with a van load of kids and leaving with a van load of kids. He is the Co-owner of Ron/Art Construction and believes in giving back to his community. Being a father of 5 he came to Youth Quake knowing how to develop a relationship with teenagers. He can often be spotted playing pool with the youth or outside making sure everything is running smoothly. Art brings a lot of giftings and heart to Youth Quake!
Chris is a graduate from Youth Quake. He is also a member of our new Jr. High Leadership team. Chris works as an electrician, he is also an accomplished athlete and is really good on a pair of skates. He has a very outgoing personality, is fun to be around, and is great at getting people involved. The younger boys really look up to him – so if you see a bunch of teenage boys hanging out with Chris, you know he is brining them to youth. Welcome to the team Chris!
Janice owns her own esthetics salon in Bouctouche called, A Touch of Peace. Janice is loved by Youth Quake and quickly gets to know those around her. The youth feel comfortable to talk to her about anything and that is what makes her a great Youth Leader. She definitely adds A LOT to what happens at Youth Quake through her ideas and faithfulness.
Jennifer graduated from Youth Quake and has come back to Volunteer. She has just recently completed her LPN (nursing) course and works in the hospital in St. Anne. Jennifer has developed many friendships within Youth Quake and because of this she is loved. Jennifer has also travelled many places with us and adds to what happens each week at Youth Quake.
Jeremie lives in Moncton but travels to Bouctouche every week to be a leader here at Youth Quake. He is the drummer for our youth worship team (Tremor) and is currently in his 4th year of university studying to be a civil engineer. Jeremie is leaving us for a short while to do a work term in Halifax. He will be missed at Youth Quake, but we know he’ll be back!
Jeremy is currently taking his Doctorate in English Literature. He is almost there folks! He was voted “The Biggest Geek” of 2006 at Youth Quake and this is why we love him! To complete his schooling Jeremy will also be moving to Halifax for 4 months starting in January. We will miss him too, but don’t worry, he won’t be gone for long!
Joanne has one of those personalities that attract people. She has travelled to Toronto, Poley Mountain and many other places with Youth Quake. Joanne has been known to have the girls of Youth Quake over for a Sleep Over, attend sports games, all to show support. If you spend 5 minutes with Joanne you know that she loves people and especially teenagers. We sure are glad you didn’t stay in Edmonton!
Julien is a member of our new Jr. High Leadership team. Julien has been attending Youth Quake since it’s beginning and now as a leader is ready to ROCK! Currently he is attending Oulton College in Moncton, and is waiting to be accepted into the RCMP. Julien plays guitar, sings, and sometimes leads worship with the band (Tremor), and does a great job at all three. We’re glad to have you as part of the team!
Junior works in Bouctouche at Kent Homes and has been with Youth Quake for quite some time. He too has travelled many places with us. In fact, his vacation time is spent with Youth Quake! That is amazing! Junior wants more than anything to see the youth of our town to succeed in life and follow the plan God has for them. Groups need Volunteers like Junior who are willing to help out in any way they can on the scene or behind the scene.
Marielle is a member of our new Jr. High Leadership team. One word to describe Marielle would be – faithful. Another word to describe her would be – lover of God….wait that’s 3. Marielle is currently in University studying biology. He dream is to go to medical school and become a doctor that works overseas. She also sings with the worship team (Tremor) and really seeks God to use her life for His glory. Welcome to the team Marielle!
Nadine loves to spend time with teenagers! And they all think she is AWESOME. Right from the beginning she got involved. She heads up our weekly Canteen and when she goes to Costco to stock up on candy she doesn’t leave empty handed! Nadine has been known to have the Youth Quake girls over for a Sleepover and to completely take over Youth Quake once in a while with great games talks from the heart. Oh yeah, did we mention…she has a big heart!
Nikie is a member of our new Jr. High Leadership team. What can you say about Nikie? Well for starts Nikie is a super duper athlete. She is smart, laughs alot and has been attending youth right from the get go. Nikie is a very passionate person and is not afraid to share her faith with anyone. Nikie is in the process of starting a group at her school for girls who are concerned about the issues they are facing in society today. YAY Nikie… and welcome to the team!
Pastor Jenna is Youth Quake’s Jr. High Pastor. She first came to Bouctouche in September of 2008 to do a four-month work term. Since then she has graduated from Vanguard College with a degree in Theology and has moved back to Bouctouche to stay. She is loving every minute of it! Jenna loves working with youth and wants nothing more than to see them live life to the fullest – reaching the potential that God has given them!
Pastor Natasha is the Youth Quake’s Sr. High Pastor. Five years ago she moved to Bouctouche to start a Youth Program for our Town. She has pastored two other youth groups in Nova Scotia. She graduated from Eastern Bible College in 1998 with a Diploma in Theology. Natasha loves teenagers and wants nothing more than to see them succeed in all they do while helping them learn about the AMAZING plan God has for their life!
Patrick is graduate of Youth Quake. He is finishing his last year at NBCC and will soon be an Engineer! He also is involved in Youth Quake’s Band, Tremor. Patrick lives out what we learn at Youth Quake and because of this he is well respected by the teenagers. He lives in Notre Dame and is faithful to volunteer each week. Patrick is a fine example that, during the teenage years, it is possible to make good decisions and follow the plan God has for you!
Patti-Anne is also new to the team here at Youth Quake. Previously, Patti-Anne worked as a youth leader at Glad Tidings in Moncton and now brings a wealth of experience to our team. She has a real knack for connecting with the teens and we appreciate the time that she invests into the youth of YQ. We are glad to have you on board!
Rachel has been volunteering with Youth Quake for a few years now. It is simple… Rachel loves teenagers and teenagers love her. She can be counted on to do anything! Anything from going to Camp with us to making birthday cakes every month. She has been known to make supper for like 10 kids at a time. Rachel is a true Community Leader. The youth know that if she is close by they just might get a hug!
Remi is a member of our new Jr. High Leadership team. Remi just graduated high school and is taking a year off to work. He is very involved and we appreciate the excitement and enthusiasm he has to be a leader serve God in as many ways as he can. Remi has a servants heart. From hanging out and having fun at Jr. High, or filling his car with youth to come to Sr. High, he is always willing to step out and do what needs to be done. Welcome to the team Remi!
Yes, that’s right. Two Remi Allain’s…. This Remi has been attending Youth Quake right from the very beginning. Recently he has joined our Jr. High leadership team, and wants to invest in kids lives, just like his leaders did for him. Remi is a very talented guy. He’s an athlete, a musician, and you can even find him being a bit dramatic at our Youth Quake Restaurant and Talent Show. Remi also plays electric guitar for the worship band (Tremor). Welcome to the team Remi.
Ronilie is a member of our new Jr. High Leadership team. Ronilie can be compared to a spark plug. She has a way of lighting things up. I don’t mean like arson or anything illegal I mean like energy. She is in her second year of university, on her way to having a degree in business, and dreams of opening a pregnancy care center in Bouctouche. She is always reaching out to the youth of youth quake, the new kids, younger kids. The girls especially connect with her really well. Ronilie has an spirit that is really unique and this alone makes her a great leader. Welcome to the team!
Scott is the owner of Girvan Media here in Bouctouche. He and his wife were the first Youth Leaders Youth Quake ever had. Scott likes being a geek and helping other youth realize that they can embrace the geek in them, and that’s ok. You can often find him hanging out with the youth on Thursday nights in the Lounge or getting beat at Ping Pong.
